A stun gun is a hand-held - battery-powered device which delivers an electric shock to any attacker. Batteries supply electrical current to the stun gun’s circuitry which contains transformers that boost the voltage, normally between 50,000 and 900,000 volts, and reduce the amperage. This current charges a capacitor which builds up a charge and releases it to the electrodes which are simply two prongs of conducting metal positioned in the circuit with a gap between them at the top of the stun gun. Since the electrodes are positioned along the circuit, they have a high voltage difference between them. If you fill this gap with the attacker's body (which would be the conductor) the electrical pulses dump electricity into the attacker's central nervous system. A stungun uses high voltage and low amperage to temporarily disable an attacker for up to several minutes. It also interrupts the neurological impulses that control and direct voluntary muscle movement. When the attacker's neuromuscular system is overwhelmed and controlled by the stun gun he loses his balance. When both probes are placed against the attacker's body for one-half second it will startle him/her, giving them some pain, muscular contraction and shock. For one-two seconds a stun gun will cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. For three - five seconds a stun gun will cause loss of balance and muscle control, total mental confusion and disorientation leaving them dazed. The attacker will be unable to recover for several minutes and effects may last for up to fifteen minutes. Under no conditions can you suffer a charge back to your own body even if the attacker touches you while you are using the stun gun on him.

The AIR TASER Device looks and feels like a regular pistol. But it uses compressed air to fire two metal darts that are connected to the taser via an electric cable. When the TASER darts strike the body or clothing of the attacker, a five-second 50,000 volt charge is released through the cable causing the attacker's muscles to contract uncontrollably. A TASER Device uses high voltage and low amperage to temporarily disable an attacker for up to several minutes which is plenty of time for you to escape harms way. TASER Devices have been used safely by law enforcement officers in the field more than 46,000 times since 1999 and used safely more than 100,000 times which includes demonstration firings. TASER Devices are classified as non-lethal weapons and are legal to carry in most states. TASER Products can not be shipped outside the U.S.
